Improve consistency and confidence during performance and competition.
ELITE PERFORMANCE COACHING
Success is peace of mind, which is a direct result of self-satisfaction in knowing you did your best to become the best you are capable of becoming.
Mental game coaching helps athletes and performers take the confidence they have in practice to the competition. If they are losing focus, their composure, or performing with less confidence in competition, these are all signs that their mental game is getting in the way of their performance. Mental game coaching helps athletes with confidence, focus, composure, and trust in their skills.
What is Mental Coaching?
Individuals best suited for mental game coaching are those that have a passion for their sport, are obsessed and enjoy the process of improving their skills, and truly want to be the best they can be in their sport.
Who is best suited?
The process of mental game coaching consists of the following:
15-minute discovery meeting to determine if mental game coaching is the right fit.
Athlete completes an Athlete Mental Aptitude Profile (AMAP) questionnaire to determine mental game challenges.
30-minute follow-up meeting clarifying AMAP answers.
Give athletes a mental game process to work on during practices and competitions.
Three one-hour follow-up meetings over the next month to see what progress is being made and to adjust if necessary.
Continue with the coaching program on a month-to-month, 3-month, or 6-month basis if needed.
All meetings can be done via Zoom if necessary or for convenience.
What is the process?
Our goal at Elite Performance Coaching is to help athletes understand how their mind influences performance and how to apply mental strategies to help perform their best in competition.
For athletes, a fine line separates finishing first from finishing second… Making a team or just barely being cut… Being a starter or sitting on the bench… Achieving a personal record or falling a little bit short.
Athletes invest a lot of money, time, and energy practicing, working hard, lifting weights, conditioning, changing diet, working on technique, and buying the best equipment. All these physical training routines help improve performance. Working on your game's physical aspects is insufficient to achieve peak performance. Peak performance requires a sound mental game. Mental skills contribute significantly to peak performance, yet most athletes neglect mental game performance.
At Elite Performance Coaching, we provide athletes a mental process designed to improve consistency and confidence during practices, performance, and competition.
The plan is developed after the athlete completes a mental aptitude profile questionnaire. This, and conversations with the athlete, help us discover the athlete or performer's mental game challenges. A custom coaching plan and process is designed to improve the athlete or performer's mental game approach.
